About the club
Banbridge Archery Club was established over 30 years ago and is now one of Northern Irelands leading clubs. The club has an active senior and junior section and is affiliated to Archery G.B. and Archery N.I.
Members shoot both target and field archery due to the excellent facilities and permanent archery grounds in Banbridge and Gilford.
At our indoor venue in St. Patricks College in Banbridge members shoot from September to end of April, then moving outdoors in May till end of August members train at our field grounds at Gilford Castle Estate, Co.Down.
Gilford Castle Estate is also one of only a handfull venues awarded 'Nominated' status from Archery G.B. This venue helps support archers to attain scores needed to shoot for GB and Archery Ireland at International level.
Over the years we have hosted the NI 3D Animal Championships and regularly run record status shoots that attract archers from all over Ireland, we have even have had the pleasure of archers from as far away as Australia and Norway compete at our shoots.
Currently members include the All British Field Champion, Ulster Field Champions in both Barebow and Traditional ladies categories, Junior Ladies Barebow silver medalist and Junior Gents All Ireland champion in Barebow .
Archery G.B. beginners classes are supervised by 'Level 1' club coaches.
